Summary of the Sunflower Oil Summit

The second international Sunflower Oil Summit: Science & Industry took place on July 10–12, 2017 in Odessa. Olir Resources was the exclusive sponsor of the event.

The main implications of the summit:

• In 2017/18 season, Ukraine will export 5-5,1 million tonnes of sunflower oil that corresponds to the volume of the current season
• A few projects of soybean crush plants are under way in Ukraine with a total oil capacity of 300 thousands tonnes. The projects are profitably located to the port of Chornomorsk
• China can increase the import of Ukrainian sunflower oil up to 1 million tonnes per year in a mid run, the current import is 500 thousands tonnes.

Olir Resources provided participants with ongoing projects: construction of a new park of tanks, improvement of existing oil quality control, construction of a sunflower crush plant. Olir Resources is optimistic about the further development of the Ukrainian vegoil industry and keeps on developing of the port logistics in Chornomorsk.
